To help you better understand CarVertical and Carfax, here are some common questions related to their services and offerings.
Both CarVertical and Carfax strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information. CarVertical’s use of blockchain technology ensures data integrity and prevents manipulation. Carfax has a vast database with over 22 billion records, but it does not offer the same level of data security as CarVertical. It’s important to remember that no VIN decoder can guarantee 100% accuracy, as they rely on data provided by third parties.
While both services are reputable and strive to provide accurate information, it’s essential to verify any critical details independently. For instance, if a report reveals accident history or title issues, it’s a good idea to consult additional sources or have the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic.
CarVertical offers global coverage, making it suitable for international buyers. Carfax primarily focuses on the North American market, which may limit its usefulness for buyers outside this region. However, Carfax does offer some reports for vehicles in Europe and Canada.
CarVertical offers a single report for $24.99, while Carfax charges $39.99 for a single report. CarVertical’s more affordable pricing makes it a more appealing choice for budget-conscious buyers.

I am not sure of the dependability of Car Vertical. I checked 2 vehicles. The first was a 20 year old import. CV id’d it only. The second is a new one that I leased from new 2021 Mazda CX-9. CV id’d the vehicle but info was wrong. Not impressed.
